Tuesdays at 1pm - April 29 to June 3, 2014

Join a free 2 1/2 hour workshop held once a week for six weeks. This program, facilitated by trained leaders, provides practical suggestions on how to:

  • Manage symptoms and medication
  • Work with your health care team
  • Set weekly goals, problem solve effectively, improve communication, relax
  • Handle difficult emotions, eat well, and exercise safely

We are looking for original films to a maximum length of 15 minutes  All ages, individuals, and non-commercial groups residing in the Lakeland Library Region are eligible to enter.  Cash prizes awarded.  All films must be suitable for public viewing.

DRAMA     DOCUMENTARY     ANIMATION     EXPERIMENTAL

Entry Deadline:  April 30, 2014
Films will be featured in a
Public Screening May 14, 2014 -- 1 p.m and 7 p.m. at the North Battleford Library.

Are you looking for something new or different to read? Not sure where to start? Do you love contests and sweet prizes? If you’re between 13-17 years of age you can enter our first ever “Blind Date with a Book” Contest.  All you have to do is check out a book from our “Blind Date with a Book” Display, read it and return a “Rate Your Book” slip.
