Freedom to Read Week

Freedom to Read Week is an annual event that encourages Canadians to think about and reaffirm their commitment to intellectual freedom, which is guaranteed them under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Freedom to Read Week is a project of the Book and Periodical Council (BPC).

To mark Freedom to Read Week, the North Battleford Library has displayed many books from the challenged books list that are available for you to borrow. Check out this list of books and magazines that have been challenged in Canada, and the list of suggested reading material below.
